Gold

Well, we’re back from our little trip to Brixham. So we are due there soon again. I am packing for my next trip to Wales with the boys. A train trip! A bus! Six hours! I must need my head seen too. Oh wait, I already did that.

Anyway, the point of today’s post is not my forthcoming adventure. I wanted to tell you about my friend. She doesn’t read this blog so I’m safe. She has a long-term condition rather like me. You can imagine, we shoot the breeze about the worlds most exciting stuff. But, it means she understands the days frustrations. And, she doesn’t let it get you down. She doesn’t let herself be defined by her illness. She makes me realise I don’t need to either.

Anyway, we haven’t seen each other for a couple of weeks and I’ve missed her. Today however, we’ve had all our kids playing together and it’s been normal familiar friendly chaos. I just wanted to make a point of saying how much I value her friendship. Everybody should be so lucky to have a friend like that. If you do, hold on to them tight. They are worth their weight in gold.
